For two consecutive days, the head of the CIA, William Burns, stayed in Kosovo, where he met with Prime Minister Albin Kurti, President Vjosa Osmani and the head of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, Petrit Ajeti. This visit has been widely commented on in Kosovar opinion. One of the interpretations of this event was that from now on there will be softer attitudes on the part of the Kurti Government and the VV.
In an interview for Nacional , Burim Ramadani, former chief inspector of KIA, estimated that Burns’ visit will also change the political narrative. According to Ramadan, the head of the CIA has killed populism.
“Kosovo is no longer the same from Friday – populism died! Burns killed populism. If this populism will try to return, then the creators and makers will be in trouble!
After Burns’ visit, not only for the north, but for all other areas, the populist narrative will be removed. There will be no more “trumpeters” of power who insult and confront the USA and NATO. They will try to eat their own fingers out of remorse!
Useful Idiots won’t turn on every day because:
• You will no longer hear “Kosovo was destroyed for 20 years”!
• You will no longer hear “America, America”!
• You will no longer hear “we have disagreements with the international community, but we are a sovereign state”!
• You will no longer hear “with KFOR or without KFOR, with NATO or without NATO, we will do this and that…”!” – Ramadani said about Nacional.
The professor of the University of Pristina, Milazim Krasniqi, also expects a change in the approach of the current government. In fact, Krasniqi wrote that the majority governors and deputies will not mention the opening of the Ibri Bridge.
“Keep a note from now on whether any of the governors and majority deputies will mention the opening of the Ibri Bridge. From now on they will talk about gross local production and the increased budget. I believe it will be fun, although the campaign can become very monotonous” – wrote Krasniqi.
