Romanian police have conducted new raids on the home of influencer Andrew Tate, who is awaiting trial on charges of human trafficking, rape and forming a criminal gang for the sexual exploitation of women.
Dozens of masked officers entered Tate’s house in Romania, which he shares with his brother, Tristan Tate, writes Indepedent.
Romania’s anti-organized crime agency, DIICOT, said it was searching four houses in Bucharest districts, investigating allegations of human trafficking, child trafficking, sexual relations with a minor, influencing statements and money laundering.
Tates spokeswoman Mateea Petrescu said that “although the allegations in the search warrant have not yet been fully clarified, they include suspicions of human trafficking and money laundering” and added that its legal team is present. Petrescu did not address the allegations involving minors.
Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan, who have huge social media followings, have denied all previous allegations against them.
They were first arrested in Romania in December 2022, and then released from house arrest in August 2023.
